Japan Consulting Corporation dba Japadog, has been delighting numerous residents and tourists of Vancouver, British Columbia. The business is established and operated since 2005. We proudly offer a unique selection of Japanese-style hot dogs with a wide range of flavors. Our group run the business by restaurants, food trucks and one food processing warehouse currently. At this time, we are seeking one permanent and full-time Kitchen Manager to join the team at Japan Consulting Corporation dba Japadog.
Job Responsibilities:
§ Oversee, organize, and assign tasks to kitchen staff responsible for preparing, portioning, and serving food.
§ Forecast and procure ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth and uninterrupted food preparation.
§ Develop and implement kitchen work schedules and operational procedures to maintain efficiency.
§ Keep detailed records of inventory, equipment maintenance, sales, and food waste to optimize kitchen operations.
§ Instruct and guide kitchen staff on their responsibilities, including food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols.
§ Monitor the preparation and presentation of food to ensure it meets the restaurant’s quality standards.
§ Assist in the recruitment and selection of kitchen personnel and contribute to the formulation of kitchen policies, operational guidelines, and budget plans.
Requirements:
§ Completion of Secondary School is required
§ Min. two years of experience in the food service sector is required
§ Good communication and interpersonal skills
§ Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking skills
§ Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently
Wage/Working Hours/Benefits:
· Wage: $34.75 / hour
· Hour: 30 – 40 hrs/ week
· Vacation pay/ Tips/ Staff meals/ Staff discount
· Permanent and Full time position
