Tasks
– Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
– Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
– Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
– Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
– Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
– Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
– Survey building locations and levels
– Supervise other workers
– Estimate costs and materials
– Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
– Personal protective equipment (PPE) training
– First Aid Certificate
– CPR Certificate
– Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
– Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

– On Site; Various locations, Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
