Job Description:

- Job type: Permanent, Full-time
- 35 hours/week
- Salary: $ 37 / hour
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Work location: Unit#2-3, 259 Traders Blvd E, Mississauga, ON L4Z 2E5
- Benefit: 4% vacation pay and Vacation of 2 weeks per year
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and service gas heating units and their components, such as furnaces, burners, valves and automatic controls
- Install and test gas piping systems and fittings in compliance with Ontario Gas Code
- Test and replace defective equipment or components
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete necessary repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Test for gas leaks and ensure all safety protocols are followed
- Calibrate controls, thermostats, and safety devices
- Maintain accurate service records and job reports
- Provide professional customer service and explain system operation to clients
- Respond to emergency service calls as required
- Work collaboratively with project managers and technicians
Job requirements:
- Language: English
- Education: related college program or related trades certification training is required
- Work Experience: at least 1 year of related work experience
- Certificate: Gas fitter trade certification or a provincial gas fitter license is required
- Ability to Supervise: 1 to 2people
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Physically demanding work requiring standing, bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs)
- Work in confined spaces, mechanical rooms, basements, and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or elevated platforms
- Attention to detail
