Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as Drywall Installer and/or drywall installer helper is required

Job details:

Salary: $29.00 hourly for 30 hours per week

Location: Various locations in BC

Vacancies: Two (2)

Skills

·         Measure, cut, and install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to specifications.

·         Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layouts to determine installation requirements.

·         Secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs using screws, nails, or adhesives.

·         Install corner beads and joint trims to reinforce edges and create smooth finishes.

·         Tape, fill, and finish joints using joint compound to prepare surfaces for painting.

·         Sand and smooth surfaces to ensure a uniform finish.

·         Repair and replace damaged drywall sections as required.

·         Apply acoustic or decorative wall and ceiling panels, where applicable.

·         Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.

·         Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment.
