Mekong Restaurant in Kingston ON has an opening for 1 Cook.

Job duties:

·        Prepare and cook Vietnamese cuisine.

·        Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods like soups, noodles, stocks, meat, etc.

·        Ensure quality of food according to Mekong Restaurant recipes and standards

·        Determine size portions to control food cost and wastages.

·        Instruct and train staff in preparation of dishes when required.

·        Maintain kitchen area clean and hygienic at all times

·        Follow health and safety and sanitation procedures.

·        Clean all kitchen equipment

 

Qualification and Skills:

·        Completion of high school

·        At least 2 years work experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen setting

·        Ability to work with a team efficiently in a fast paced environment

·        Can multi-task and perform well under pressure

·        Good working knowledge of Vietnamese cooking
