Mekong Restaurant, serving authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine, in Kingston ON has an opening for 1 Restaurant Manager.
Job duties:
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
• Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain authenticity and quality.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining area.
• Manage opening and closing procedures.
• Maximize profit goals versus budget and prior year.
• Hire, train, and supervise kitchen and service staff.
• Schedule shifts and assign tasks.
• Ensure excellent customer service and handle complaints professionally.
• Order ingredients and supplies, focusing on authentic Vietnamese ingredients (e.g., fish sauce, rice noodles, herbs).
• Monitor daily sales and cash flow.
• Set budgets and control costs (labor, food, utilities).
• Analyze profit and loss statements and make improvements.
• Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and food handling regulations.
Qualification and Skills:
• Completion of high school
• At least 2 years of food service experience. Supervisory role is an asset
• Ability to work with a team efficiently in a fast paced environment
• Can multi-task and perform well under pressure
• Good working knowledge of Vietnamese cooking
