Job description:
Read & interpret construction drawing, sketches & blueprints as per design specifications to prepare layouts as per building code requirements.
Guide and train new apprentices or other workers in the field as a part of the team to improve productivity.
Frame walls, stairways, pathways for entry, porches, gables etc. by using wood & metal materials.
Install vinyl siding, metal cladding, wood cladding & different types of Hardy panels on the outside envelope of the residential buildings.
Install window & door trims, Facia board, Cedar & Vinyl soffits on deck & patio’s etc.
Ability to determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.
Frame outside posts with finished wood materials according to customer needs.
Perform inside finishing work by installing Crown molding, baseboards & installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of various types of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
Install inside & outside doors, closet doors, posts by using hand tool and power tools.

Education & Experience requirements:
Secondary school education with 1-2 years of work experience as a carpenter. Carpentry course/certification would be considered.
Need to be able to use hand tools

Hours: 30-40 hrs/week
Wage: $30.50/hour
