About the Role
The Nanny will provide attentive and nurturing care for our 2-year-old son in our family home, ensuring his safety, well-being, and development through age-appropriate activities, daily routines, and supervision. The role includes preparing meals and snacks suitable for the child, assisting with feeding and maintaining his daily schedule. The Nanny will also perform light household duties related to the child’s care, such as tidying play areas, organizing children’s belongings, and assisting with general household tasks to support a safe and comfortable environment while the parents are at work.
Work Location: Employer’s Home in Penticton, British Columbia V2A 5J6 – This is a live-out position. The caregiver is not required to reside in the employer’s home, and living in the employer’s residence is not a condition of employment.

Experience Requirements
- Previous childcare experience is not mandatory; however, applicants must demonstrate practical knowledge, maturity, and confidence in caring for a young child. Job-specific orientation and training will be provided.
- Credentials & Certificates: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
- Demonstrated ability to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment that supports a child’s physical, emotional, and social development.
- Reliable, responsible, with willingness to provide attentive supervision and care for a young child in accordance with the parents’ instructions and established routines.
Main Job Duties
- Provide supervision and care for children in the employer’s home.
- Bathe, dress, and feed child according to their daily needs.
- Prepare formula and perform diaper changes as required.
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals for child, and carry out light housekeeping duties related to their care.
- Supervise child’s daily routines, including mealtimes, naps, and other scheduled activities, per employer’s instructions.
- Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing home environment for the child.

- Support child’s emotional well-being while promoting their social growth and development.
- Guide and discipline child using the methods and preferences established by their parents.
- Foster learning through age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, including games, crafts, reading, and outings.
- Accompany children to and from school, appointments, and other scheduled activities.
Wage: $22.75 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts and varying work schedules as required, including weekdays, and weekends)
Days per week: 5
Hours per week: Minimum of 6.5 hours per week
Overtime: No overtime is anticipated or regularly scheduled. The employee will not normally work more than 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. If additional hours are authorized or worked, they will be compensated in accordance with British Columbia employment standards.
