JOB DETAILS

Salary: $18.50 to $22.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

 

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

 

Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Early Morning, Morning

 

Start date: Starts as soon as possible

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Languages: English

 

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

 

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

 

Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort

 

Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:

·         Establish methods to meet work schedules.

·         Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food.

·         Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures.

·         Estimate and order ingredients and supplies.

·         Hire food service staff.

·         Ensure food service and quality control.

·         Prepare budget and cost estimates.

·         Address customers’ complaints or concerns.

·         Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage and provide reports for planning and operating budgets.

·         Prepare and submit reports.

·         Supervise and check assembly of trays.

·         Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys.

·         Establish work schedules.

·         Maintain food and service quality up to standards.

·         May conduct job interviews and provide an assistance in the policies development.

 

Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people

 

Workers Supervised: Food service counter attendants and food preparers, Kitchen and food service helpers

 

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Walking, Physically demanding
