Job Details:

Salary: $35.00/ hour for 30 to 50 hours/ week

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience: Will train

Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Tasks

·         Operate both straight and articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.

·         Monitor the vehicle’s condition and inspect key components like tires, lights, brakes, refrigeration systems, and other essential equipment.

·         Conduct pre-trip, on-the-road, and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring all aspects of the truck are in proper working order.

·         Handle customer concerns and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.

·         Skilled in navigating and driving through mountainous regions.

·         Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with clients and team members.

·         Carry out routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure vehicle longevity.

·         Communicate with central dispatch to send and receive updates and delivery instructions.

·         Keep detailed records of cargo, driving hours, mileage, and fuel usage.

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
Air Brakes (Z) Endorsement, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
