Job Description: Visiting Homemaker
Care for 1 disabled adult in employer’s home

Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is not a condition of employment.

Job Duties: Provide full time care and supervision to disabled adult; Prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals to disabled adult; Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder); Provide companionship for disabled adult; Accompany disabled adult to medical and/or dental appointments; Assist disabled adult in achieving their maximum personal well-being; Assist disabled adult with their daily exercises. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.

Specific Skills: Reading text; Writing; Communication; Problem solving; Decision making; Job task planning and organizing

Terms of employment: Permanent; Full-time; Day/Evening

Wages: $22.00 per hour for 30 hours a week

Education required: Completion of high school or equivalent

Work experience: 1 – 2 years
