Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the food service sector at a managerial or supervisory level is required

Job Details

Salary: $36.00/ hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Tasks

·         Support the General Manager in daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth, efficient, and guest-focused service.

·         Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

·         Train, schedule, and evaluate employees; provide coaching and disciplinary action as needed.

·         Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies; place orders with vendors to ensure availability of necessary stock.

·         Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

·         Assist in preparing staff schedules and monitoring labor costs in line with forecasted sales and budget goals.

·         Oversee cash handling procedures, including opening and closing registers, daily reconciliations, and bank deposits.

·         Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, liquor laws, and other applicable legislation.

·         Participate in promotional activities and events to increase restaurant visibility and sales.

·         Step in to assist in food preparation or table service during peak hours or staff shortages.
