We are looking for a Business Development Officer to join our team.
Job duties
– Develop, implement, and maintain standard business development processes for opportunity development
– Work alongside with management team to understand EMF’s services. This includes developing an understanding of our capabilities, our industry’s state, and how to position us to win and succeed in the market
– Collaborate with management team to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business opportunities
– Conduct market research and identify potential teaming partners and develop relationships, partnerships, and agreements in pursuit of potential opportunities.
– Engage with key partners and suppliers, and actively present company offerings and negotiate business deals
– Assist in supporting the development of potential business partners and growing existing client relationships with local and international contacts
– Prepare business plans, feasibility studies, proposals, prospect communications, and other related correspondence. Ensure these documents and communications are error-free and documented.
– Contribute to company profile and marketing materials to improve the visibility and recognition of EMF Contracting’s expertise.
– Represent EMF at client meetings, industry events, and exhibitions across Canada. Frequent travel within the country is a core component of this role.
– Analyze customer feedback to assess satisfaction and guide service improvements.
– Perform competitive assessment, risk analysis, and develop recommendations. Provide insight into product and service development and competitive positioning.
Skills and Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, marketing, or related field.
– 5+ years of experience working in a development or similar role, 2+ years in a leadership role. Basic knowledge of real estate or construction industry is an asset.
– Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Canada for client engagement and business development activities.
– Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
– The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel as needed
