JOB DETAILS
Workplace information: On site – Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Salary: $29.00 to $35.40 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Work site environment: At heights, Noisy, Dusty, Dangerous, Outdoors
Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Work setting: Various locations, Commercial, Institutional
Specific Task/Responsibilities:
· Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
· Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tool.
· Install sheet metal flashings.
· Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
· Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions.
· Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
· Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
Specific Job Description:
· Work at heights up to 80 feet and on flat and inclined surfaces.
· Climb ladders and set up work requirements in a safe manner.
· Assist foreman on detail works.
· Install, repair and maintain different types of flat roofing systems such as: modified bitumen Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS), Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO), Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer (EPDM), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), single ply roofing systems, and Torch-on systems
· Use, measure and cut roofing materials.
· Inspect roof to identify leaks and determine the best repair procedure.
· Torch and self-adhere cold apply systems as well as metal and cap fishing.
· Torch on materials for waterproofing of roofs, basements and balconies.
· Install vapor barrier, insulation on roof deck and base and cap after insulation.
Maintain a clean and orderly jobsite
Ensure personal tools are in safe working condition and ready for use
· Follow safety instructions and procedures and comply with safe work standards
· Read, understand, and comply with all Epic Roofing & Exteriors Commercial safety policies, procedures, and practices.
EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZATION
Area of specialization: Conventional and inverted built-up system, Modified roofing system, Rigid pre-formed roofing system, Single ply sheet membrane roofing system
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots

Certificates on the Following an Asset: Roofer Red Seal Trade Certificate, First Aide Certificate, WHMIS, Aerial Lift and Aerial Work Platform Certificate, Fall Arrest Protection, Working at heights
