Ramen Danbo brings traditional Fukuoka style Kyusyu Hakata Tonkotsu ramen to Japanese food fans in Vancouver. The aroma of our signature Tonkotsu broth is unmistakable – a simple but truly delicious umami, always made daily in-house.
We’re expanding our business and want you to be a part of it. Currently we are looking for a permanent and full time qualified Chef to join us.
Job Responsibilities:
· Plan, direct and oversee overall kitchen operation
· Manage the daily activities of all kitchen staff, ensuring service standards are met
· Oversee, Control and direct the ramen broth preparation process and any other related dishes
· Plan and develop menus and order necessary food items and kitchen supplies
· Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene
· Supervise and manage the kitchen team, including scheduling and training new staffs
· Implement food cost controls, ensuring adherence to agreed budgets and minimizing stock loss and shrinkage.
· Effectively manage and reduce food waste within prescribed and agreed limits
Requirements:
· Completion of Secondary School is required
· Minimum three years of commercial cook working experience is required
· Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
· Outstanding communication and leadership skills
· Ability to work as a team in a fast paced and high pressure environment
· Ability to spend all the time standing and walking through shift
Wage/Working Hours
· Wage: $34.70 /hour
· Hour: 35hrs/week
· Term: Permanent and Full time position
