Imagoh Foods Ltd. is one of the leading multi-faceted Federal Meat processors in Canada. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Meat Cutting Plant Foreman/Woman to oversee the daily operations of our meat processing plant. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a deep understanding of meat cutting and processing, safety standards, and quality control. This role is responsible for supervising the meat cutting team, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations, and driving operational efficiency.
Job Duties:
· Direct and supervise a team of meat cutters and processing staff, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely. Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
· Monitor meat cutting techniques to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to customer specifications. Perform quality checks on finished products, identifying and addressing any issues.
· Plan and schedule production workflows to meet daily and weekly targets. Adjust staffing and resources as needed to optimize production efficiency.
· Manage inventory levels of raw materials, supplies, and packaging materials. Ensure that all cutting equipment and machinery are well-maintained and in safe working order.
· Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment in accordance with health and food safety regulations.
· Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity. Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
· Train and mentor staff on meat cutting techniques, safety procedures, and best practices. Promote a positive and productive work environment.
· Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units.
Job Type: Permanent, full-time position
Salary: $31.50 – $37.00 per hour for 30 hours per week (To be negotiated)
Overtime: 1.5 times the wages after 44 hours per week
Experience: At least one year of experience in a meat processing or cutting environment
Education: Completion of high school
Language Requirement: English
