This Opportunity:

Laren House Society is looking to hire permanent full-time Community Support Worker. The ideal candidate will:

·       Prepare reports or case histories.

·       Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs.

·       Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses.

·       Conduct individual and group counselling sessions.

·       Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients.

·       Assist clients/guests with special needs.

·       Develop specialized rehabilitation programs.

·       Appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services.

·       Implement life skills workshops.

·       Conduct follow-up assessments.

·       Housekeeping activities.

·       Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs.

·       Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.

Skills Requirements:

·       Completion of Secondary School.

·       No experience required.
