Preparing, cooking and presenting food to order as per set guidelines and standards.
Completing assigned “prep work” as needed in absence of kitchen helper and other staff members.
Cleaning, sanitizing and organizing kitchen area from time to time.
Oversee the operations of the kitchen prep work and food quality in general.
Train kitchen staff to make existing and new dishes as per restaurant menu.
Prepare orders as per customer needs including single dish to multiple dishes through put the day.
Help establish new menu items for the restaurant as per changing customer tastes and market trends.
Adheres to all safe food handling principles in the kitchen.
Maintaining inventory and record of food including cost analysis for the successful run of the kitchen.
Educating customers on the food ingredients when required.
Handling catering orders inside and outside the restaurant, including big venues.
Should be able to oversee the staff including servers when catering.
Should be able to cook majority of the dishes in the Indian food menu with perfect taste of ethnicity.
Should be able to operate tandoor and grills and other major kitchen appliances.
