Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: Minimum one year experience as Framer – Carpenter is required

Job details:

Salary: $37.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Location: Various locations in BC

Skills

·         Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans to determine specifications and calculate requirements.

·         Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, light steel, and other materials.

·         Build, assemble, and install wood and metal framework for walls, floors, roofs, and other structures.

·         Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and other finishing components.

·         Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines to construct and repair structures.

·         Ensure structures are aligned, level, and square according to specifications.

·         Install floor joists, roof trusses, and wall studs.

·         Select and prepare materials required for framing projects.

·         Follow building codes and safety regulations on-site.

Collaborate with other construction workers, trades, and supervisors to complete projects on time.
Inspect and repair damaged framework or structures when required.
