Located in Waterville (300 Raymond Street) for more than 50 years, PPD Thermoplastics is a division specialized in the production and assembly of thermoplastic injection-molded parts. PPD Thermoplastics serves a variety of markets, including recreational vehicles, automotive, consumer, and industrial sectors.

As part of your role, you will contribute to:

  • Remove and install various molds on the presses;
  • Enter the initial program settings to ensure a safe startup for the technician;
  • Connect all water, air, electrical, and hydraulic supply lines during press setup;
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment;
  • Support production in resolving issues related to molding conditions;
  • Perform press startups (stroke adjustments, ejector rods, etc.) for production purposes;
  • Conduct startups and trials for new molds and new materials according to requirements;
  • Adjust presses according to standard parameters and recommend improvements;
  • Make final parameter adjustments to meet quality and productivity requirements;
  • Perform mold and material trials in collaboration with various departments (Quality, R&D, and Production);
  • Proactively intervene on equipment to ensure proper operation and employee safety;
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects.

You recognize yourself in the following:

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Plastics Processing Technology, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding;
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and automation systems is considered an asset;
  • Skills and qualities: self-motivated, strong manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, versatile, team-oriented, methodical, and an effective communicator.
