Full-time, temporary position as a Home Support Worker for a stroke patient, under the following terms:
Hours : 30 hours per week
Wage : $20.00 per hour
Overtime rate : 1.5 of $20 or $30 for work in excess of 8 hours a day or 44 hours per week.
Duties :
• Providing care and companionship for my sister.
• Assisting with mobility, bathing, personal hygiene, dressing, and other daily activities.
• Planning and preparing meals, including special diets, and assisting with feeding as needed.
• Performing routine health-related tasks such as changing non-sterile dressings, assisting with medication administration, and collecting specimens under the guidance of a home care agency supervisor or nurse.
Qualifications :
The qualifications we are looking for are:
• Must have completed the equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma or higher. If you completed your education outside Canada, you’ll need your education outside Canada assessed to show that it is equal to a Canadian high school (or higher).
• Must have 6 months of continuous, full-time and relevant work experience in the past 3 years either as a Home support worker, NOC 44101, or Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates, NOC 33102, gained within 3 years of your application. Or credential for a relevant training of at least 6 months within or outside Canada.
