Child Caregiver – Private household F/T required to take care of a child

Title of position: Child Caregiver
Number of positions: 1 position
Salary: $19.00/hr. (30-40 hrs./week)

Job requirements:

Language requirement: English. (Punjabi language is an asset)

Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation or certificate of a training program is required.

Experience requirement: Relevant experience for 7 months to 1 year.

Work Site Environment: Non-Smoking.

Work location information: Work in employer’s/client’s home.

Job duties:

• Supervise and care for children

• Plan, prepare and serve meals for family

• Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

• Maintain personal hygiene of child

• Take children to and from school

• Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts and outings

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Repetitive tasks, Combination of sitting, standing and walking.
