Job Description: Medical Administrative Assistant
Job Duties: Greet patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment; Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar; Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns with professionalism and empathy; Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed; Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and PHIPA; Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and ensure data security; Coordinate the release of medical records to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies as required.
Terms of employment: Permanent; Full-time; Day/Evening
Wages: $22.00 per hour for 40 hours a week
Education required: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to two years
Language: English
Business Equipment and Computer Application: MS Excel; MS PowerPoint; MS Windows; MS Word; Electronic Scheduler; Database software; Accounting software; MS Office
Work experience preferred: 1 – 2 years
