JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Duties
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods;
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances;
Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies;
Inspect kitchens and food service areas;
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
Order supplies and equipment;
Supervise kitchen staff and helpers;
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;
Clean kitchen and work areas;
Manage kitchen operations.

Wage: $16.55 to $17.00 per hour
Hours: 35 to 44 hours per week; Day, Evening, Morning, Night, Shift, Weekend.

Skills Requirements
Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Work Experience: Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety or 7 months to less than 1 year of cooking experience is required.
