Tasks
– Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders
– Prescribe medication and treatment
– Refer patients for surgery
– Treat diseases and physiological disorders
– Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
– Act as consultants to other physicians
– Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
– Conduct office/clinic-based consultations and assessments for patients with chronic pain, back pain, nerve pain, and migraines through a variety of methods, including medication management, nerve blocks, and other interventional procedures
– Collaborate with other specialists in a multidisciplinary approach
– Focus on helping patients with ongoing pain that don’t go away with standard treatments
– Medication management, including opiods, and other adjuncts to control pain
– Interventional Procedures: Perform minor nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, and radiofrequency ablation
– With some duties as a Pain Management Specialist
