We are seeking a dedicated, self-motivated, hard-working, and innovative person who commits to working in our construction company as a Construction Driller on a full-time in our designed locations and sites. We aim to have a team-working person who drives or controls construction equipment to assist us in our residential or commercial construction projects in Vancouver. Based on our site of activities, applicants must have the ability and be willing to work in adverse conditions. This job position takes place at all hours of the day or evening, so the applicants have schedules that might include late evening hours. It would be best if you were willing to accommodate a plan that can require weekend work and the ability to commute and work in various weather conditions.
Duties and responsibilities:
Operate tracked or truck-mounted drill equipped with an auger or other attachment to drill holes for building foundations or pilings
Operate air-track, rotary, down-the-hole, or other drilling machines to drill blast holes or may direct drilling of blast holes
Measure location and stake out the pattern of holes to be drilled, load blast holes with explosives, and detonate explosives to dislodge coal, ore, or rock
Operate mobile drilling machines to bore holes in open-pit mines and quarries and to bore holes for blasting and for building foundations at construction sites
Use soil or rock conditions knowledge to determine which drill is appropriate for each job.
Verify positions and depth of boring locations before drilling to determine if it is safe to move forward with the process.
Job Requirements
Some secondary school education is required.
Should be able to detect and fix operating problems.
At least three years of drilling experience
Communication skills and team working
Ability to adhere to the highest standards of safety and quality.
