This job requires recruiting, training, and supervising staff members
Set work schedules and assign tasks to other staff members
Train staff in customer service skills, handling customer complaints, and addressing any issues to maintain customer satisfaction
Set sales targets, analyze sales data, and implement strategies to improve sales
Manage inventory levels, order products and ensure that shelves are stocked appropriately
Manage expenses, analyze financial reports and work to maximize profits while minimizing costs
Oversee the layout and visual appearance of the store
You will be responsible for the security of the store and its assets & implement security policies, prevent theft, and handle any security-related incidents
Planning and executing marketing campaigns and promotional events to attract customers and boost sales
Evaluate the performance of employees, provide feedback, and conduct performance appraisals
Report to higher management in a timely manner and attend meetings with vendors
Skills and Qualifications
Completion of secondary school is required.
A university degree or college diploma in business administration or other field related to the product or service being sold may be required.
2-3 years of related retail or wholesale sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility are usually required
