Job Description
Tasks
· Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
· Analyse operating costs and other data
· Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
· Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
· Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
· Requisition food and kitchen supplies
· Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
· Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
· Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
· Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Cuisine specialties
· Sushi preparation techniques
· Japanese cuisine
Skills and Qualifications:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
· 2 years to less than 3 years experience is required
Work Conditions
Weekdays, Weekends and Evening shifts
Full time & Permanent
Hours:30- 40 hrs/week
Wage: $36.60/hour
