Education Requirements: College Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is required
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in hotel or accommodation operations, including experience in housekeeping services.
- Experience working in a hotel, resort, or similar accommodation establishment.
- Experience coordinating daily operational activities in a hotel or accommodation setting
- Experience supervising staff or coordinating work activities in a hospitality environment.
- Experience using hotel property management systems, reservation systems, or other hospitality-related software.
- Ability to organize work schedules, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to train, motivate, and work effectively with staff from diverse backgrounds.
Main Job Duties:
- Manage the operations of the housekeeping department
- Plan and co-ordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and their crews
- Conduct inspections to ensure that departmental standards and health and safety regulations are being met
- Select and purchase equipment and supplies, and maintain inventory
- Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery
- Hire, train and supervise housekeeping staff
- Maintain financial records and prepare budgets, payroll and employee schedules.
Wage and Hours
Wage: $24.17 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts and varying work schedules is required)
Days per week: 5 days per week
Hours per week: Minimum of 40 hours per week
Overtime: Yes, over 8 hours per day
Vacation entitlement: 10 days per year
