Café Al Fresco by D & J (see https://cafe-al-fresco-by-d-j.menustic.com ) located at 2062 100 St, North Battleford, SK, S9A 0X5, Canada has a full time and permanent position for a Food Services Supervisor.

Duties of Food Services Supervisor

Supervising kitchen and dining staff
Training staff on food safety and customer service
Monitoring food quality and portion control
Handling customer concerns and complaints
Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
Ordering supplies and managing inventory
Ensuring compliance with health regulations
Opening and closing the restaurant
Inspecting seafood freshness, smell, texture, and temperature
Proper storage of seafood (cold chain management)
Preventing cross-contamination between raw seafood and other foods
Monitoring thawing, cleaning, filleting, and preparation procedures
Following safe cooking temperatures for seafood
Managing shellfish safety and allergen control
Checking supplier deliveries for quality and food safety
Ensuring seafood is labeled and dated correctly
Training staff in safe seafood handling practices
Reducing seafood waste through proper rotation and storage

Additional Specialized Skills

Knowledge of fish, shrimp, crab, lobster, mussels, scallops, and shellfish handling
Ability to recognize spoiled seafood
Knowledge of seafood boil preparation and seafood cooking techniques
Maintaining sanitation for seafood tools and equipment.

 

Experience

Several years’ experience in the food preparation or food service experience (cooking, serving or supervision)

 

Education

·      Completion of High School

·      Safe food-handling course as required by the Saskatchewan Food Safety Regulations subsection 26(1).

 

Wages

$15,57 per hour

40 hours per week
